Talking is Teaching: Talk, Read, Sing, powered by The Arkansas Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, is a parent engagement and public awareness effort designed to empower the parents and caregivers of children ages 0 to 5 to talk, read, sing, and play with their children from an early age. Talking is Teaching: Talk, Read, Sing offers fun and easy tools and resources designed to help parents and caregivers boost young children’s vocabulary and improve school readiness for all Arkansas kids and put more on the path to reading on grade-level by the end of third grade. The Arkansas Campaign for Grade-Level Reading is piloting Talking is Teaching in Eudora and Little Rock starting in the 2016-2017 school year. We hope to roll out Talking is Teaching to additional communities in the future.
